We were delighted when ICC Europe decided to hold their Annual Away Day Conference for 2011 in Azuga, Romania. Nestled in the valley of Azuga, surrounded by ski slopes, the ICC Europe team settled into the comfort of a hotel to chalk out the programme and plan for 2012.

Gabriel Marin and Rangam Mitra hosted a dinner in Azuga for the ICC team who also managed to get time off to see some of the local sights.

The team briefly stopped by to see the T20 National Inter Club Championships that were being played in Bucharest over the week end before leaving back to London. Richard Holdsworth and Graham Cooper however stayed on to be the Guest of Honour and Umpire respectively for the finals.

Their presence was a great moral booster to the aspiring cricketers of Romania.
