Many congratulations to Romania’s national women’s cricket team, who played in the recently concluded T20I Women’s Cricket Championship in Corfu, Greece!

Victory over Serbia in the Round Robin stage and against Luxembourg in the semifinals made Romania-V qualified for the final against the hosts, Greece. Although we lost the final, the second place is our best result since women’s cricket began in Romania. It was also the first time I toured outside the country.

The inhabitant’s rankings and victories against two national teams in a tournament certainly indicate progress and we are looking forward to the next commitment, an ECN event in Malta in November.
